I’m Tim, an Aussie economist studying at Harvard. I’ve worked as a policymaker in government and in venture capital. I love thinking about creative solutions to big social problems.

Why should I read Offbeat?

Offbeat is a place for me to express and refine some of my latest thinking on issues I care about. I try to write in an accessible way on topics where I feel I’ve got a unique perspective to offer based on my experience.
